Like most 3 year olds, Lucie loves tiny things. She loves to carry them around the house, stuff them into various bags and baskets, and even takes them with us around town. She'll sit on her floor and play quietly with them, selecting which ones will be the day's favorites.
Because she doesn't have a bedside table with a drawer, as Elliot has always had, I had to find a different way to store her treasures. I decided to re-purpose this IKEA knitted basket that I used in her nursery to hold various items for cloth diapering. It's nice and soft, so although I store it under her bed, she can easily pull it out herself. I rotate the items, donating the things that are no longer used and making room for the next tiny thing she finds.

On an unrelated note, the cute cotton clothes Lucie is wearing are from Polarn O. Pyret. I recently placed my first order with them. I'm doing a experiment with my kid's clothes, trying to buy fewer, higher quality items. I usually buy some cute pieces and then supplement with cheaper items from places like Old Navy. The PO.P clothes are beautifully soft and I love that you don't have to wash them when you receive them because they don't spray icky stuff on them like the majority of clothing manufacturers do.
I believe that they have a 15% discount code if you join their email list.
