Colorblock Crowns

1065567418_db92d68be9_b

I just wanted to let you all know that my most recent craft for Wondertime is up on their website, and that I have created a flickr set that I will update after each of my projects for them goes live which is usually several weeks after the print version comes out.  That way you can see another shot if you need to.

These colorblocked crowns are really fun and easy to make, you just need two pieces of craft foam and some decorative brads.  I've also created a flickr group in case any of you do the projects-- right here.  I am now a contributing editor for Wondertime, so look for more projects from me in the future.

I was at Borders yesterday and thumbed through Wonder Time and saw your article! Congrats- I love this magazine.

Congrats on becoming a contributing editor! (and the crowns are adorable)

How cute!! What a great idea. Congratulation on becoming a contributing editor!! That is awesome!! :)

I've been meaning to compliment you on this project. I have half of the supplies already (the decorations, but not the foam, oddly enough) to make this with our church kids. Thanks for the inspiration!

I just saw this in the magazine the other day! Loved it. I really think Wondertime represents the new generation of parents too. I mean, I love Family Fun, but Wondertime just seems to have,...more....substance! I will be looking for future articles!

contributing editor - go courtney!

I just wanted to comment on the 3 year old thing. We didn't have the "terrible twos" we had the terrible threes. Don't worry. The fourth year is MUCH better. I think they can do more and know more so they are less cranky. So, hang in there.

I love this crown. I totally want one. I think I have to add it to my craft list. They'd be great for New Years, and craft foam sheets always look so clean and professional.

We did this yesterday for the children's chapel at our Cathedral in Memphis. Not as pretty, but the kids had a great time. Thanks so much for the idea!

Thanks for the idea - this went over great at my daughter's "princess theme" birthday!
