When myMom died, nine years ago today, her house was loaded with clocks, mirrors and angels. When I look around my house, I see that I too am drawn to the same things (although different things than my Mom), over and over. Our collections seem to overlap at angels.

I'm sorry about your mom. Thats pretty cool to have that similar taste. I find myself going in my mom's direction the older I get.
Is it something we are all headed for?
Your collection is so pretty and varied. I can see why you are drawn to them. I have one, Christmas angel that I particularly liked becuase she had a red cloak and I thought that was unusual. I'll have to be sure to photograph her this year. Thanks for the reminder.
What a warm and beautiful home. I love the subway tiles, and isn't that learning tower great? The angel over the art easel is lovely. Is it gingerbread house season already?
you know i never gave angels much thought until five years ago my home burnt down. for some reason i woke up in the middle of the night to the scent of smoke and a kitchen full of fire. a week or so later a coworker gave my a 6in. pastel angel figurine {not my style} i have had it on my bedside table ever since, no more fires, and whole lot less fear. it's still the only angel i see in my life though, which i think is totally fine. and being like my mom is so so wonderful, really:)
I remember seeing that angel statue in a past post of yours, it is lovely. Who is the artist of the painting in the photo at the bottom? I once had a postcard flyer with it but can't recall where it is now, I love it!
i love the way her influence is peeking its way into your life....Dan's father and brother also passed away on this date five years ago....thinking of you today.
There is so much variation with angels that they are a joy to collect and even make. Hope you had a good day remembering your mother with fondness. Did you buy another angel for your beautiful home on the day to comemorate it?
On a day that I am still missing my mother terribly (10 years now)how nice to be reminded that I am not the only motherless mother out there. What a beautiful poem you refer back to, and a wonderful entry. Thank you.

I think it's wonderful that we are so much like our moms. I didn't used to, but as I get older and appreciate her more, I think it's pretty cool.
I LOVE the green bottles against the white tile. What are they?
